This site was originally dedicated to homemade and/or embellished baby and children’s items such as bibs, burp cloths, receiving blankets, crib blankets, diaper bags, clothing, etc. Now, in 2010, with my ideas expanding this site is dedicated to any homemade or embellished items in general. No one item will completely match another. Concepts may be similar, but since I make my own patterns, measurements; stitching; material; and general design will differ. Not to mention, that certain degree of imperfectness. Nothing says you care more than a personalized gift, flaws and all.

How It’s Sew Chacon Came About 
It’s Sew Chacon came from all the enjoyment and fun I’ve been having making things for an expecting friend of mine. Mommy and Daddy have a unique style and of course that filters thru to baby. Yay, it’s going to be a girl. And when I say girl do you think pink? Probably, but not in this case. Little Alyx, as she will be called, will be surrounded by red, white, and black. Not exactly pastels. So all the cute pink and brown décor that is ever so popular right now is out of the question for this future rock diva.
OMG, I never would have thought it would be this much fun. I am hooked. I even bought a new machine to handle the projects that swarm in my head. I’ve never had professional training and get confused with manufactured patterns. I’m self teaching as I sew. I see the completed project in my head and work backwards. Once I finish a project, I look at the process and think of new ways to complete it easier and faster next time. I also like to take pictures when I am done. Just a little reminder of what I’ve accomplished and what someone, somewhere will get to enjoy.
But don’t think this is all I due. I work part-time outside the home, take on-line classes for business administration, and raise two children with my husband. Sewing is my stress relief and with today’s economy if I can make a little extra cash relieving stress why not. I am doing this for the enjoyment and therefore will try to keep my prices reasonable. If I can’t afford it, I can’t expect you to. My prices will vary depending on material used, sizes, and if materials need to be special ordered.
